Plant kingdom

I've been thinking a lot lately about how lucky we are to have the plant kingdom so generously share its gifts with us.  Plants provide us with both food andmedicine.  Early humans figured this out eons ago, by observing the plants animals ate (and those they didn't eat) and by also a bit of trial and error.
As an herbalist and aromatherapist I’m familiar with using all parts of plants for healing purposes.  But for the purposes of this post, let's focus on aromatherapy … and why plants produce essential oils in the first place.
Plants produce essential oils for 2 reasons; protection and communication. Essential oils protect the plant from pathogens, viruses and microbes like bacteria and fungi that may destroy the plant.  The scent may deter predators, insects or mammals who may eat the plant.  The “fragrant cloud” surrounding the plant may attract a species of bee that will help the plant reproduce by cross-pollination when it visits other plants.
The natural world is fascinating and works harmoniously to support all living creatures including humans.  Since nature is so good at adapting it isn’t surprising that plants containing essential oils also protect humans against disease.  Humans began distilling plants for essential oils several thousand years ago. They knew they were onto something!  When a plant is distilled the resulting liquid oil is the soul of the plant.  The "soul of the plant" is extremely powerful -- a little goes a long way!
We are blessed to have these powerful healing drops gifted to us from nature. Touch of Earth essential oil blends are crafted with therapeutic intent in mind just like mothernature. For more information on these unique blends go to www.touchofearth.com

Bugz-Be-Gone ( It really works )

Hello everyone
Here is just one of the many testimonies about how Bugz-Be-Gone really works.

Bugs and Insects:
One thing the Amazon has.....bugs and insects......the most prolific of which are the mosquitos!!!!! Before we left I found out about 2 incredible products. One is called "Permethrin". It is an insect repellent that we sprayed on our clothing, shoes, socks and hats and it lasts for 6 washes. One 24 oz bottle works for everything Brent and I were taking. It worked great. The mosquitos can bit through clothing, but did not touch ours.  The other great product was "Bugz Be Gone" from
Touch of Earth. This was a wonderful product in that it is made from all essential oils......no Deet.  As a matter of fact when I wanted to touch one of the frogs the naturalist had caught.
The first thing he asked is if I had used any kind of insect repellent with Deet.  If so, I would not be allowed to touch any of the frogs or reptiles that were caught. Lucky for me I had used Bugz Be Gone and there was no issue. Apparently the creatures in the Amazon are very delicate......hard to believe about some of them! One natural thing the Amazonians do....they will go up to a huge tree that has termites on it. Put their hand on the termites, let the termites run up their hand (this was very creepy....see below), once they have a lot of termites they will squash them, and press the squashed termites on their arms and face.  For whatever reason the mosquitos do not like this and will stay away!!!!!! Not a good picture, but I think you get the idea that it was rather creepy.....I will just stick with the Bugs Be Gone which worked great!

New 'Super Lice' Are Resistant To Traditional Treatments

Hey,

I came across this article and figured this is some need to know information so I decided to post a blog about it. New research published in the Journal of Medical Entomology talks about how lice is becoming resistant to our current treatment. Super lice is the term they are using.  You can read the rest of the article here Super Lice . Be sure to visit our site and check out the natural way to combat these super lice.
